About Dutch Stars Bio

Hi, I'm Sidra. Welcome to Dutch Stars Bio.

Quick news comes and goes, but I always wanted a place that tells the full story — who are the Netherlands' biggest stars, really? Where did they start, how did they make it, and what are they worth today? That's what this blog is: in-depth biographies, career journeys, and net worth breakdowns of Dutch actors, musicians, athletes, and influencers.

Every profile is researched from public interviews, reputable sources, and official records. I don't do gossip — I do timelines, facts, and the kind of background you can't get from a headline.

Net worth figures are always estimates (nobody publishes their bank statements), and I explain how I arrive at them so you can judge for yourself.

If you love a good success story — or just want to win the next pub quiz — you're in the right place.

Image
By Sidra Salman · October 25, 2026 Ilse DeLange is the rare Dutch artist who has been famous in three different decades for three different reasons: first as a teenage country singer with a Nashville-recorded debut, then as a television coach, and finally as the voice that took the Netherlands back to the top of Eurovision. Her career is a case study in longevity — and in how a singer from a small town in the east of the Netherlands became her country's most durable country-pop star. Born Ilse Annoeska de Lange on 13 May 1977 in Almelo, in the province of Overijssel, she started performing as a child, winning lip-sync contests before switching to live singing in regional and national talent shows. A duo with guitarist Joop van Liefland introduced her to country music, and in 1994 she performed at the Dutch Country Music Awards. The breakthrough took years, not months — and that slow start shaped everything that followed. The long road to World of Hurt DeLange's early career...

Image
By Sidra Salman · October 22, 2026 Sifan Hassan is one of the most unusual athletes on the planet. Most distance runners pick a lane: you are either a track star or a marathoner. Hassan refused to choose. She has won Olympic gold on the track and on the road, set world records from the mile to the one-hour run, and pulled off medal hauls that no one else in history has matched. This is her full story — the career timeline, where she stands in 2026, and a careful, honest look at what she is worth. From Adama to Amsterdam: the early years Sifan Hassan was born in January 1993 in Adama, Ethiopia. She started running as a teenager, but at 15 she fled Ethiopia as a refugee and arrived in the Netherlands in 2008. Becoming a Dutch citizen took years: it finally happened in November 2013, while she was studying nursing. Even before the passport came through, the talent was obvious. In 2011 she won the Eindhoven Half Marathon in 77:10. In 2012 she picked up cross-country wins at t...
